The brief

Leônidas da Silva, the Black Diamond, was one of Brazilian football's first global icons. The jersey collections that reference him came decades later.

The idea

The collection is built on his bicycle kick and the year 1932. His silhouette runs through the campaign as its visual spine.

What I did

Designed the motion system around Leônidas da Silva's bicycle-kick silhouette and the year 1932, intercutting archival black-and-white footage with the modern game. His silhouette as the graphic spine. A montage of football's most iconic bicycle kicks, tied together by headline-weight type.

Result

A jersey collection that reads as football history, connecting Leônidas's legacy to the modern game.
